Fashion Film & Stage Opinion

Father, Son and House of Gucci

In her latest role as Patrizia Reggiani in the new 'House of Gucci' film, let's take a look at some of Lady Gaga's top fashion moments.

Lady Gaga looks positively chic and wonderfully manipulative in the first ‘House of Gucci’ trailer. The film is based on the assassination of Maurizio Gucci, who was shot dead by a hitman, hired by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani, and uses the 2001 book, ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed’ by Sara Gay Forden, as the basis for the film. The film highlights the greed, power, manipulation of Reggiani and other individuals, and how the dark side of human nature can manifest.

Gaga exudes glamour and is alluring in her multitude of outfits, giving us an insight into the mind of Reggiani, and how fashion plays an integral part within the story. Gaga is no stranger to this realm, so, it’s only fair to look back at her jaw-dropping fashion moments.

Her flowing pastel lavender hair contrasted perfectly with the vibrancy of the gown.

3. Elle’s Women in Hollywood event

Suited and booted in this gorgeous ensemble, Gaga makes a powerful statement at Elle’s Women in Hollywood event. She made a powerful statement saying ‘I decided today I wanted to take the power back. Today I wear the pants‘. This came after her speech about being a survivor of sexual assault in the entertainment industry. She reclaimed her power.

4. The Meat Dress

Jaws dropped when Lady Gaga walked out in this iconic outfit. She was already known for her eccentric and over-the-top fashion, but this outfit forever cemented her status as a fashion icon . The dress and platform boots were made of actual pieces of meat, accessorised with a large diamond choker, which boldly contrasted with her teal dipped platinum hair.

5. A Star Is Born: Los Angeles premiere outfit

Serving us old Hollywood glamour, Gaga glistened in this Clare Waight Keller silver metallic gown. The dress and the train shimmered in the light, and Gaga was a literal star on the red carpet. She paired this look with custom Givenchy and Bulgari jewellery, and styled her platinum blonde hair in waves that emulated the 1940s.
