With the hot weather upon us, its time to wear our colourful skirts and dresses but what about those of us who’s style is more conservative or minimalistic? We have combined 5 looks to fit both of these needs; dresses and more conservative looks. These are some looks that I have personally styled and want to share with you. From streetwear to girly dresses, we’ve got you. If you recreate any of my looks, please tag us, we would love to see you in them.
Okay girls, bring the heat with my first look; summer dress. This dress is a colourful green and blue piece that I wore out for lunch. The dress is a statement piece therefore, I styled it with white trainers, a white shoulder bag and minimalistic jewellery. I wanted the attention to be on the dress and that’s why I recommend styling stand out pieces like this with simple colours; white, black, grey, cream to make the dress do all the talking.
This next look, is one of my personal favourites. I wore this look out when I was exploring my city with my friend. This conservative look, full suit can be dressed down or up. I decided to dress it down by adding a cap and trainers. I wore a black cap to match the suit and I matched my shoes to my shoulder bag. This look is very comfy and allows you to stay covered up and warm on those more rainy days.
Browns are in. This earth tone look, looks great on all skin tones as there are different tones of brown in one. I styled this look with white trainers, a brown jumper and white shoulder bag. The jeans and top patchwork design are combined with different shades of brown which makes it easy to style with either black or white. I wore this look out for shopping, but it’s also great to wear to a casual hang out with friends. If it’s a sunny day, you can obviously wear it without a jumper, but if you want that extra warmth, a brown or white jumper is your go to.
Streetwear is my tried and true. This look is both simple yet trendy, with the baggy tee look and ripped jeans paired with trainers and a shoulder bag. This outfit is comfortable and perfect for days where you want to look stylish with little effort. Because of the baggy fit, it’s not too hot for summer and in winter can be styled with a jacket or a long sleeve underneath the tee.
Blue is your best friend. This blue blazer is definitely a statement piece. I paired it with shorts, white trainers and a shoulder bag. On the days where you want to look more casual, this can be worn with trainers but can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels to make it fancier. This look is more for your warm days, but if you want to wear trousers, you can pair this blazer with some black trousers to complete the look.
